David W. Olson is the President of Walton Consulting, Inc., a management consulting firm he founded in 2001 to provide CEO Business Coaching for small to medium sized organizations. Walton Consulting believes that to build a healthy organization, the CEO needs to have the right game plan, the right leadership team, the right corporate culture, and the right accountability. To assist in these areas, Walton offers CEO Coaching on Business Strategy, Leadership Recruiting, and Corporate Culture.
Prior to starting Walton Consulting, David transitioned into the field of strategy consulting in 1998 by joining a boutique firm out of Princeton, NJ. He has worked with more than 50 companies in over 30 industries providing expertise as a business advisor in strategic planning, sales management, marketing strategy, executive recruiting, corporate culture, leadership team facilitation, compensation plan design, and general business management practices. He is also a Founder Member of Synogis, a broad based, multi disciplined, global consulting firm of experienced Senior Consultants. He is the developer the Culture Compass™, an assessment tool for organizations to measure and manage their culture.
In 2010, David founded Walton Motivation, Inc. along with five other business partners, including New York Times best-selling author, Dr. Bob Nelson. Walton Motivation will be launching a web application in 2011 called Recognition PRO™, designed to coach managers in the area of employee recognition. He is also the founder of the Business & Wine Forum, a high-level leadership/networking venue created to bring top leaders together in an environment to learn and converse about relevant business topics and fine wines.
David was born and raised in the Bethlehem, PA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of South Carolina. He currently serves on the board of the Allentown Industrial and Commercial Development Authority, appointed by the Mayor of Allentown to serve as a member of the Blue Ribbon Committee, sits on the board of Allentown Economic Development Corporation as an ACIDA representative, serves on Allentown Ahead Marketing & Public Relations Committee, and volunteers as the Director of Men's Ministry at his home church, Faith Church. In recent years he has served as the Chairman of the Capital Campaign for Faith Church, been a board member of the Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra, a board member of Priority One Foundation, a committee member of Young Life, and a regional council member of FCCI. He has been a regular teacher and speaker for various local businesses, universities and non-profit ministries. He now lives with his wife Michelle and daughter Jackie in Allentown, PA.
