David Olson

David W. Olson is the President of Walton Consulting, Inc., a Management Consulting firm he found in 2001 committed to helping small companies between $5 million and $100 million grow healthy businesses by providing CEO Business Coaching. Walton Consulting believes that to build a healthy company, the CEO needs to have the right game plan, the right leadership team, the right corporate culture, and the right accountability. To assist in these areas, Walton offers CEO Coaching on Business Strategy, Leadership Recruiting, Corporate Culture, and Performance Psychology.

Prior to starting Walton Consulting, David transitioned into the field of management consulting in 1998 by joining a boutique firm out of Princeton, NJ. He has worked with more than 50 companies in three dozen industries providing expertise as a business advisor in strategic planning, sales management, marketing strategy, executive recruiting, corporate culture, leadership team facilitation, compensation plan design, and general business management practices. He is also a Founder Member of Synogis (www.synogis.com), a broad based, multi disciplined, global consulting firm of experienced Senior Consultants.

David was born and raised in the Bethlehem, PA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of South Carolina. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Advanced Innovative Marketing, is on the Board of the Allentown Industrial and Commercial Development Authority, a Committee Member of special Mayor of Allentown appointed task force, and leads the men's ministry at his home church, Faith Church. In recent years he has served as the Capital Campaign Chairman for Faith Church, been a board member of the Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra, a board member of Priority One Foundation, a committee member of Young Life, and a regional council member of FCCI. He has been a regular teacher and speaker for various local businesses, universities and non-profit ministries. He now lives with his wife Michelle and daughter Jackie in Allentown, PA.

  • Created the Culture Compass™, a tool for measuring and managing corporate culture in order to assess organizational climate and work with CEO's to identify strategies for creating a healthier environment.
  • Prepared a market capacity study for a producer of home construction products by forecasting competitive operations expansion against market demand to identify future scenarios for corporate planning.
  • Recruited over fifty executives from sales personnel to CEO level for a broad range of both for-profit and non-profit organizations.
  • Developed and structured corporate compensation philosophies, pay scales and bonus schedules for a variety of organizations.
  • Developed and directed sales strategies via new market focus, product development, sales training, expansion assessment, and recruitment of new sales talent, resulting in sales growth of over 250% in three years.
  • Conducted a "price elasticity of demand" study for a consumer durable goods manufacturer, and applied comprehensive analysis to the qualitative and quantitative data culminating with a final recommendation for their pricing, marketing and advertising strategy.
  • Conducted a market survey and provided acquisition recommendation for England based Investment Banking Company, which supported ownership with crucial background information through the negotiations phase, and resulted in a favorable and successful acquisition.
